CLOUD STRATEGY

A cloud migration starts with a better map.

Before choosing a platform, understand your applications, dependencies, and operating constraints.

Start with what you run today

Create an inventory of applications, owners, interfaces, and data flows. Record which services must stay available, which have known maintenance windows, and which depend on systems outside your control. This becomes the foundation for sequencing the work.

Choose a route for each workload

Some workloads can move with little change. Others need a platform update, a redesign, or replacement. Some should remain where they are. Document the reason for each decision, including cost, operational capability, and data location requirements.

Make the first wave a learning opportunity

Start with a workload that is useful but has a manageable failure impact. Prove deployment, monitoring, recovery, and cost visibility before moving more critical services. Agree acceptance criteria and a rollback procedure before each cutover.
